“This is your life. This is your journey.
You are the Hero.
”— Lee Smith

Be the hero

Have you ever thought of yourself as a hero? Well, as Smith astutely points out: you are. And, you alone star and direct this life role. Often we defer this honour
to others, not recognizing our ‘hero within.’ It’s about making simple daily choices, and valuing ourselves
by implementing them into our life to feel great,
physically, mentally and emotionally.

Life Coach Lindsay entices us to play in ‘the dirt pile’ to bring fun, simplicity + possibility into everyday life. While Dr. Joyce encourages men to champion healthy daily choices to maintain their vigour + vitality.

In the Cost of obesity, pg. 22, I discovered my food addiction was activated by stress. The new choice: when a stress bubble starts to rise, instead of reaching for a munchie, I switch gears and walk out the door. Fresh air and movement dissipate the stress to precipitate a solution.

Experts provide essential alternative solutions to heal the mind and body with essential oils pg. 26, + natural ways to alleviate pain, pg. 30. Take a risk and access your power through dance, pg. 35. Or, fine-tune your running by studying the mechanics, pg. 52.

Look to others to inspire the hero within. On pg. 48 an article about people with a little-understood speech disorder shares their hopes, ignited by the ‘hero’ in the film The King’s Speech.

Food inspires us all. Up your food grade with guidance from Lisa Petty on pg. 58; tantalize your palate with exotic Indian cuisine, pg. 66. Be a hero with the right foods to enhance libido – yours + your partner’s.

On the journey of your hero, champion the exhilarating possibilities in all the areas of your life.
