“You are the captain of your ship, the master of
your destiny. Allow yourself to be extraordinary.
Dare to be magnificent!”
— Dr. John DeMartini
 Excellence +
celebration = Joy
As the 2010 Olympics come to a close, the joy of Canadians is bursting at the seams of our borders. Add to this the Paralympic Games and for 27 days, the excellence of the world’s athletes has graced our land. We’ve celebrated the wins, but more than that we’ve celebrated the athletes – Canadian and international alike. On the last day we achieved a ‘golden goal’ and we laughed at our best-known Canadian stereotypes in the closing ceremonies. We’ve let our heart show and it feels good – eh?

The world’s athletes have provided great stories to influence our children to follow their dreams. In ‘Do as I do’ parents are encouraged to lead their children by example. And, Sophie Grégoire-Trudeau shares overcoming adversity and the joy of living her life fully.

Athletes train their minds and bodies that fear = fun! That’s a choice. ‘Think or Sink’ shows us how we can choose to make that switch in our lives.

Copious amounts of time are spent in the care
of an Olympian’s mind, body and spirit; each is mandatory to realise their dream. ‘Gold medal’ tips on caring for you are offered in this issue so you can live your dreams.

We’ve seen and felt the spirit of JOY for 17 days. Hold on to this feeling and bask in it daily! I believe. Do you?
