“The best time to be your best
is in the present moment.”

— Marianne Williamson
Living the moment
Recently, I unfortunately experienced a very common circumstance; I fell and sprained my ankle. The number of people who have done this deed, the same way – rushing down stairs – was astounding, according to the ER nurse, and there wasn’t a full moon! The reason for mentioning this is to raise the awareness of how much we rush around; not treasuring our surroundings or our purpose of each moment.

Focusing on who we are and what we’re doing right now provides us the most pleasure. Being preoccupied with completed past incidents we’re displeased about, drains valuable energy; obsessing over future unknowns takes away the gift of the present, and that’s what I was doing. Now, forced to slow down, I appreciate the gift of the moment, movement, as well as my physical, mental and spiritual bodies.

As I reviewed this issue, leg elevated, I enjoyed how each expert offers wisdom for living in the moment. Recipes and nutritional guidance to tantalize taste buds and sustain health; tips on feeding your pet healthy; summer skin essentials; keys to dealing with severe and environmental allergies; and exercises to enjoy your favourite pastime. Unravel the mysteries of the brain and lymphatic systems with tips we can implement today for continued health.

Then, there’s the interview with Jon Montgomery. He candidly shares his life experiences; how he got to the Olympics, the gold medal win and his future goals. He really is who we see him to be.

I invite you to use this wisdom to live in each
moment, to experience life to the fullest this summer.
