that assist smokers to finally kick the habit.

The Ready-2-Quit Smoking Cessation program provides one-on-one support from a Rexall pharmacist, with a Readiness to Quit Assessment, consultation to create a Personalized Quit Plan and follow-up assessments over 8 months.

Get a head start
First, set a ‘quit date.’ Discuss the available methods to quit with your Rexall pharmacist: prescription medications or nicotine replacement products. Keep a smoking diary; recording situations that stimulate your desire to smoke can help you avoid them or
develop coping mechanisms. Line up support from family and friends with your news on quitting. Remove smoking triggers, such as lighters and ashtrays from your home, car and workspace environments. Get plenty of rest, eat a balanced diet, drink lots of water and avoid caffeine. When you feel the urge to smoke, go for a walk, read a book or visit with friends. Take the money you would have spent on cigarettes and reward yourself frequently for your success. It will keep you on track.

Don’t be discouraged! It takes an average of six
to 8 attempts to quit successfully. Every attempt brings you closer to your goal. For more stop smoking information, to take the Readiness Assessment or to learn more about the Rexall Ready-2-Quit program, visit rexall.ca/quit  H&L
