here are many techniques and methods to explore and release unhealthy patterns and unresolved grief. Talk therapies and belief change processes have limited success: much of what we live and experience resides in the body at a cellular level and remains unconscious. Dance, as a therapeutic art and empowerment practice, awakens the body’s consciousness to affect change and transformation physically, psychologically and emotionally at the same time.
Unlike everyday functional movements, patterned or random dance combinations maneuver the body into artfully, emotionally or sensually inspired gestures.
