Brown Rice and Lentils

1/2 cup (125 mL) of brown rice
2 cups (500 mL) of water
A sprinkle or two of salt and pepper
1/2 cup (125 mL) of green lentils

Pour the brown rice into a small pot with the water and a pinch of salt and pepper. Slowly simmer over medium-low heat for 15 minutes.

Add the lentils and continue cooking until both the rice and the lentils are tender and fluffy, another 30 minutes.
