Thank you for your interest in Canadian Health & Lifestyle magazine and the Canadian Health & Lifestyle website.

(ii)  when you enter various contests that we conduct to promote our magazine

(iii) when you visit our website

(iv) when you contact us requesting material or to ask questions

(v)  when you complete our surveys in order for us to obtain a better sense of who our readers are and what issues, products or
      services may be of interest to them

(vi) from third party organization's who provide us with your demographic and other information (e.g. your occupation and interests)

We also collect what can be called "anonymous/aggregated information". We collect such information via the following methods:

Browser information (i.e. the URL of the web page you were just on, the IP address of the computer you are using, your domain type, and your browser version). Browser information is automatically recorded as part of transmitting information over the Internet. We may use it to help us display information in the best format for you.

Cookies. Our website uses "cookies". A cookie is a small text file sent to your browser's files for our reference. No one else can read this file. Cookies allow our server computer to recognize you when you return to the site, so you don't have to re-register and so we can retain any preferences you may have given us. Why do we collect your personal information

If you are a customer of our publication, we use your name and address (postal and/or e-mail) in order to deliver the product, service or information you requested and to follow up with you about the transaction (i.e., send a bill, notify you that your subscription is expiring, etc.). If you enter into a contest offered through our website or printed publication, we use your personal information to administer the contest on our own behalf or on behalf of our sponsors or to build a data base to send you additional mailings about our products and services.

(b) To process payment

Your credit card number, debit card number, or banking information is used for the payment of your account – we do not use this information for marketing purposes.

(c) To send you information

From time to time we may send you further information about our publication, its offers, or other products produced under its name.

Control Of Your Information

You always have the option to instruct us not to use your personal information beyond providing you with our magazine you have subscribed to, servicing your account, responding to your inquiries, or any other information or service you requested. See "Contact Us" below to provide us with your current instructions as to what personal information we can use and cannot use.

E-mail communications will always include an identification of the sender and an "Unsubscribe" option.

Sometimes we rent or buy lists from independent third parties and we would use them contact you as a result so as to inform you about our products and services. We only rent or buy lists from those who have secured permission from you to be on those lists and to transmit your personal information to others such as us. If you receive a mailing and you wish to know the source of your name (i.e. what list it came from), we will make every reasonable effort to determine the source and provide you with the information. Visiting a third party website via a link from our own website

In some instances, advertisers advertise on our website and you may visit their websites by directly linking to those websites from our website. If you choose to provide personal information when you visit those websites please remember that the privacy provisions that the third party has will govern your relationship with them and our privacy policy will not apply.
